Paralympic gold medallist Jo Butterfield is set to represent Scotland at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship in British Columbia in March.
This will be her first world championship of her career after she traded club throw for Curling, only last year.
She will be joined by Meggan Dawson-Farrell, Gregor Ewan, Hugh Nibloe, and Gary Logan who have also been named to represent Scotland.
The championships will be held at Richmond Curling Centre from 4-12 March in British Columbia, Canada.
This comes as an achievement to Butterfield whose switch to curling has paid off dividends after achieving European and World titles in club throw, including gold at the 2016 Rio Games.
She missed out on the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics where she had hoped to become the first athlete to achieve gold at both the summer and winter games, however ParalympicsGB failed to win a medal in wheelchair curling.
Despite being originally from Yorkshire, she now resides in Glasgow which gave her eligibility to represent Scotland at championships, so on 3 February, she was called up.
Speaking to the BBC, she spoke on her excitement: "If you had said to me six months ago when I first transferred to wheelchair curling that I would be heading off to my first World Championships, I would have probably laughed.
"The overriding feeling is excitement. I love competing, I always have and to compete at a major championships is what I really strive for."
Scotland will be up against hosts Canada, China, Japan, and the USA to name a few, as they look to compete for glory in the World Wheelchair Championships as well as the mixed doubles.
They will have Charlotte McKenna and Robert McPherson representing them for the mixed doubles.
